Joined with the Foundation, community residents and private investors to create affordable housing and a new mixed-income community in East Lake.
Along with parents and the Foundation, the Atlanta Board of Education opened Drew Charter School in 2000, the city of Atlanta’s first charter school.
Named one of the top 10 short courses in America by Golf Range Magazine, Charlie Yates Golf Course is a nine hole public golf course offering private course service and amenities. Net proceeds from the operations of the golf course benefit the East Lake Foundation. Junior golfers from metro Atlanta, ages 7-18, can play the course at reduced rates.
The Coca-Cola Company supports the East Lake Foundation in a number of ways, including its sponsorship of the TOUR Championship by Coca-Cola and monthly Coca-Cola employee "read aloud" sessions at Charles R. Drew Charter School.

Charles R. This home course of legendary golfer Bobby Jones and permanent home to the PGA TOUR’s season-ending TOUR Championship presented by Coca-Cola is not only a historic golf club, but a philanthropic one as well. The club’s founding sponsor companies have contributed more than $20 million to the East Lake Foundation to help revitalize the surrounding neighborhood.

In partnership wiht Social Enterprise @ Goizueta, Start:ME East Lake supports micro-entrepreneurs in the East Lake and neighboring Kirkwood communities of Atlanta. The 2016 East Lake program will run from January through April 2016. $30,000 in low-cost loans will be distributed among the top business ventures. Program is free to accepted participants; however, strict attendance and peer-participation standards must be met.
Net proceeds of this season-ending PGA TOUR event held at East Lake Golf Club benefit East Lake community programs and The First Tee of East Lake.
