The East Lake Initiative, comprised of Purpose Built Communities, the East Lake Foundation (inclusive of Drew Charter School) and the East Lake Golf Club, have hired a new team to lead and execute strategic communications. Ethan Davidson will serve as Vice President of Communications for Purpose Built Communities and Catherine Woodling will serve as Director of Communications for the East Lake Foundation and the East Lake Golf Club. Together, they will direct the communications efforts of the East Lake Initiative.
Most recently, Ethan Davidson served as Director of Communications and Media Relations for Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. where he led and executed the communications and marketing efforts of the Atlanta BeltLine since moving to Atlanta in 2008. Prior to that position, he served as Vice President of Communications for the Partnership for New York City, an international business organization. Previously, he served in various communications and administrative roles in the Mayoral Administration of Michael R. Bloomberg for four and a half years in the Mayor’s Office and the Department of Small Business Services. Prior to that, he worked on the Bloomberg for Mayor Campaign in 2001.
Ms. Woodling joins the East Lake Initiative after serving as Corporate Communications Manager for The Home Depot where she was responsible for crisis/issues and human resources communications. Previously, she served as Public Relations and Communications Manager for The Home Depot Foundation. Prior to coming to The Home Depot, Ms. Woodling served as the Media Relations Officer for Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin.
